Quinnipiac University

Policies for Conferences and Events

Types of Events We Support

Quinnipiac Conferences & Events supports events from initial concept to final execution by providing a single point of contact for all university resources. Let our staff handle the logistics of your event, while you focus on the content and engaging with your attendees.

The team at Conferences & Events is meant to be a resource for members of our local communities and beyond who wish to host an event on campus. As we continue to grow, we will also become an added support to internal departments with planning large-scale conferences.

  • External: Events that are not being organized by a student, staff or faculty member of the university and not paid for by university funds would be classified as external. This would include any companies that have a partnership with the university and would like the university to be a co-host or sponsor.

  • Internal: University-recognized student organizations and departments planning events for the primary purpose of the university community participating. These may include local community outreach. These events are exclusively covered by the university operational budget and are managed by university faculty and staff. Internal departments are welcome to organize their own events; however, if they require extra planning assistance, our team is available to help for a nominal fee.

Overview of Policies

  • University facilities being rented are subject to facilities rental fees and associated charges including, but not limited to, furniture rentals, staff overtime, parking, media services, security, dining services, and coordination service fees.

  • All external clients must provide liability insurance. Please consult Office of Conferences and Events staff on what coverage is required for your event.

  • University facilities exist for the primary purpose of our academic-driven mission; some venues may be unavailable during certain times of year for the use of institutional academic, athletic, or general student use.

  • University faculty, staff, departments and student organizations must consult the Office of Conferences and Events before booking space for the purpose of, or committing to, hosting an external group on campus.

  • Permission to use facilities on a Quinnipiac campus does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship or support by the university of the views, opinions, or programs of the client organizations or its participants.
